Blues to appeal Purse red-card decision

The club are to ask the FA's Video Advisory panel to study replays of the incident in which the Blues defender was dismissed by referee Steve Dunn for chasing after Fulham striker Luois Boa Morte, who had hold of the ball following Blues equaliser 8 minutes from the end of the game at St. Andrew's on Sunday.

If the appeal fails Purse faces a three game ban for his actions and will not be available for selection for the games with Manchester Utd (a), Chelsea (h) and Aston Villa (h) next month.
