The Blues keeper, who has made five appearances for the Sky Blues since moving to Highfield Road on an initial one month loan deal in February, is hoping a deal can be done for him to remain with Micky Adams' side on loan until the end of the season.
"My loan spell is up on Saturday so I will be speaking to the manager and Steve Bruce at Birmingham," Benno told the Coventry Evening Telegraph.
"I am out of contract in the summer and with the transfer deadline coming up next week we have got a lot to talk about.
"I am enjoying my spell and it would be nice to stay until the end of the season at the very least.
"I want to be playing games and at this moment in time I am doing that and if I can keep doing well then Coventry will keep doing well, and hopefully they will want me."
Benno's initial one month spell at Highfield Road comes to an end after the Sky Blues' away game against Sunderland on saturday.
