Benno A Wanted Man

Benno stood-in for flu victim Maik Taylor in the away game at Liverpool last weekend with Nico Vaesen named amongst the subs and Bruce is reluctant to allow the long-serving keeper to go out on-loan until he is sure Taylor has recovered from his illness.
First division Sheffield Utd are rumoured to be keen on Benno but Bruce has said he will need time to consider allowing him out on-loan.
"We have had an inquiry about Benno but, at the moment, nothing's happening," Bruce told the Birmingham Evening Mail.
"I'm wary that goalkeepers like to keep their eye in, but whether a loan is beneficial to us is what I'm weighing up.
"We have to make sure Maik Taylor is fit and available first and foremost.
"It's not an ideal scenario and the person who probably needs more games than Benno right now is Nico Vaesen after his knee injury."
Neil Warnock is desperate to sign a keeper and the Blades seem to be the club interested in taking Benno on-loan.
"I had a number one target virtually agreed but the club involved now wants to wait until later in the week until making a decision so I have to have one or two other options in mind," Warnock has said on his clubs official website.
