According to The Daily Mirror, Blues boss Alex McLeish has once again turned is attentions to signing the 26-year-old Austrian international forward as it appears he has missed out on the possibility of signing Milan Jovanovic from Standard Liege after the Serbian international indicated that he would only move to a club with Champions League's pedigree.
Blues would probably face stiff competition from Fulham and Balckburn for Janko's signature should the player be made available for transfer by Salzburg in January.
