Add Keane To The List

Reports today in both The Times and The Guardian suggest that Blues have enquired about the Republic of Ireland international striker.

Blues boss Steve Bruce was rumoured to be interested in Keane in the January transfer window but he dismissed those rumours then.

In the last week this means that Blues have now been linked with Leeds striker Alan Smith, Liverpool's Emile Heskey and now Keane.

This doesn't seem that far fetched however as just last week Blues co-owner David Sullivan had suggested that Blues had made enquiries about a number of players so that should one enquiry fall on deaf ears another is active.

With Blues making it known they are keen to add at least 4/5 players to the squad before the start of the new season and almost definately on the lookout for another strike partner for Mikael Forssell we are of course going to be linked with all and sundry right up to the opening of the transfer window next month.

If we are in for all three of the above mentioned, in the hope of managing to sign one of them, then I'd be happy to see any one of these reported targets donning the Royal Blue shirt come August.
